I can hardly believe it but after tomorrow I will be free of deadlines and kids for a while. Now by kids I don’t mean I am sending mine off to boarding school or anything. Just regular ole school. Because of our fears of them catching H1N1 (both have cystic fibrosis, so high high risk) we pulled them out of school at the end of SEPTEMBER. At the time we thought no biggie the vaccine will be here in a week or so…uh, yeah.
But last Wednesday it was here. Yay! My husband and I actually yelled when their doctor said they had got in some doses the night before. I think we scared her.
So, nine days to full effectiveness and they are as good as they are going to get. Well, that isn’t quite true. The boy has to get a second dose, but their school was lucky enough to have one of the few flu clinics that they had here so many of the other students were also vaccinated. (It was flu mist only which my kids couldn’t get.)
So, off to school for them AND off to Harlequin/Nocturne for the book I’ve been working on. Both on the same day! It is crazy.
The book isn’t in my Unbound world. There are going to be two more books coming out in that series and then I am afraid it is done. (unless something changes, of course) It seems things less mythologically dense sell better. So, this book is a werewolf book. Not JUST a werewolf book. It has a little extra spice, but I’ll hold off on telling you what for now. :)
Right now that book should come out in July. My publishing schedule for 2010 as I know it now is: January: Nocturne Bite, Lured (werewolf story) February: Nocturne, The Hellhound King (Unbound world hellhound story) May: Pocket/Juno, The Amazon Queen (urban fantasy) July: Nocturne, the werewolf book I’m turning in tomorrow.
Oh and one other thing….I’m going to write a few short stories this year that I either give away or sell myself online through Book View Cafe. The first one is planned for January and it will be free! What I need to know from you is what you want. Unbound story? (any certain character included?) Werewolf story? Vampire story? Or surprise you?
I’m excited about joining Book View Cafe, which will officially happen in January. I’ll post more information on it then, but do let me know what you think should be in that story!
