The Nerve…

Okay, this is a place-an-opinion blog.

If you win a prize via an online contest, should you under any circumstances, ask for something other than the advertised prize? Or even MORE than the offered prize?

I, personally, think it is the height of rudeness. If you don’t want the prize, either just decline it all together, perhaps think of someone who would enjoy it and ask it be sent to them, or take it and sell it on eBay. ;-)

And yes, this happens–a lot.

  1. I am grateful for anything I am lucky enough to win. I would never dream of asking for more. They don’t have to have the contests so I appreciate everything they offer.

  2. You’re right. It is rude!

  3. I think if you ask for a different prize than what you win, your prize should conveniently end up “lost” in the mail. Some people!!!
