At the book store…

I was lucky enough to get some gift money and took myself to the book store. Here’s what I bought:

  • Fistful of Charms by Kim Harrison (I really wanted to get this in Atlanta, but the line to pay was just WAY too intimidating.)
  • The Blood Books, Volume I by Tanya Huff (This one I bought because Tanya Huff was listed in a cover quote on the Jim Butcher I bought–as in fans of Tanya Huff will like… She has a number of series, and I really wanted to buy Book I of the Keeper’s Chronicles because it has a cat in it–I am a sucker for animals in books–but the store only had the second in the series. So, if I like the book I bought she will definitely be getting another sale from me.)
  • Fool Moon by Jim Butcher
  • Olympos by Dan Simmons (This was for my husband, who thinks Dan Simmons is one of the best all time writers–not George R.R. Martin, but up there.)

So, that was it. I looked for The Sea King by Jolie Mathis who I’m going to be interviewing here in the next few days, but the store didn’t have that either. So annoying when you go all ready to buy something and it isn’t available.

Anyway, that’s it for me. What have you bought new lately?

  1. You definitely need to get the first Keeper book sometime. It’s one of my favorite books.

Finished reading Fistful of Charms yesterday and really enjoyed it.

Bought Trouble in High Heels by Christina Dodd earlier last week, that was the last new book I bought.

  2. Body Movers by Stephanie Bond which I had to get because I love the premise. I just had to! LOL I can’t wait to read it. And the new Kay Hooper book because she’s an auto-buy and The Cinderella Pact by Sarah Strohmeyer which totally kicked butt!
