Forgot to mention, I’m chatting Tuesday night at 8 p.m. central with Kristina Cook at RomanceJunkies.com. Stop by!! We will have prizes!!!
Okay, I gave up on the V.C. Andrews book I was trying to read. I usually don’t comment on books that don’t work for me–but somehow I don’t think my little blog is going to hurt her sales too much. ;-) I picked it up because I was looking for different styles of “dark” writing, but the whole torture thing just doesn’t work for me. Anyone else out there a V.C. Andrews fan? I saw only parts of the Flowers in the Attic movie, and the premise pretty much creeped me out–not a judgement against it, just voicing a personal preference thing. Anyway, the writing was good and in the beginning I thought I would like it, but when I got to the whole torture through humiliation, etc. part, I just had to stop.
On a happier note, I am now reading Fangs but No Fangs by my friend Kathy Love. I’m being quite straightforward here and saying she is my friend, but REALLY the book is great. I’ll do a better description of it when I’m done reading it, and I’m going to try and get Kathy for an interview or something…
Well, this should be interesting. Whatcha think?
I’m blogging at Romancing the Blog today. I’m afraid it’s a bit snarky–check it out.

Well, another proposal is about to head out to the various editors in NY. It’s my dark paranormal romance. I’m really excited to see what comments I get since it is different than anything else I’ve written.
And I’m almost done with another proposal. It’s paranoramal, but kind of a combination of light and dark. I’m also not sure if it is a romance or not. I started out thinking it wouldn’t be a romance, and then what do you know? A big ole romance started sneaking in. I still think it will wind up being a paranormal with romantic subplot–but could easily be pushed all the way to romance.
The great part about this new project is that it is really easy for me to write. I’m having to do some research, the dark parts are also historical, but the writing itself just flows. Love is All You Need was like that. Funny how easy some books are and how hard others are.
Anyway, anyone else working on something new and fun? Or reading anything new and fun? I have some Amazon $$ burning a hole in my virtual pocketbook. Hey, which brings to mind another question. I really want to buy a dictionary/thesaurus on CD Rom. Anyone use one they love?

I’ve been at Disney in Florida for the past week. It was a lot of fun, but exhausting and it is taking me a bit to get back up and running.
Disney was good, bit not quite as friendly and fantabulous as billed. I also started and finished Moon Called by Patricia Briggs while I was there–a really excellent book. Fair warning–it has a romantic subplot (or two), but it isn’t a romance. Anyway, if you like paranormals epecially were creatures–pick this one up. :)
I’ll check back in with more on Disney later.
:)
