oh and as to Jan's question: depending on your contract and when you receive royalty info - you should get a statement per that - I am w/ Samhain and they send out monthly statements and it has total sold as well as what you earned as per your % - hope this helps

Don't they send you a royalty statement? I'm not familiar with how e-publishers do it, but that is what I would assume. I think most of them do it a lot more frequently than the bigger presses--which supply one only twice a year. (Or at least I know e-pubbed authors that are paid monthly. I assume they get an accounting along with that payment.)

Dumb as it sounds, I mean any epublisher, but I've got a book coming out with Triskelion in May. I've just wondered how do you know how many books have sold...since I'm paid a royalty on net, how do I figure it? I'm not privy to their "costs" that they'll take out, so...oh vay. I sound stupider and stupider, don't I?

must fight...the numbers...must fight the stats...

I have a strange question; if anybody knows the answer, please tell me? How do we know how many ebooks we've sold? Does it say on the pay-statement? (Yes, my ignorance is showing.)
