OMG - I can’t believe that. That’s crazy.
Of course KM writes the way SK would. Duh. Why in the hell would they even have SK write a page of quotes to be used for KM?
by Valeen March 2nd, 2006 at 9:00 amI’d think most people would know they’re the same. Honestly, my first reaction is that they couldn’t get anyone else to offer a quote. Probably not the reaction they are hoping to garner.
by Nicole March 2nd, 2006 at 10:22 amLOL!!! I can’t believe that!!!
by Jennifer Yates March 2nd, 2006 at 2:41 pmOh, and this brings up something that I have always wondered…how do you get/pick the author quotes on covers? Do you ask authors or do they offer them?
by Jennifer Yates March 2nd, 2006 at 2:46 pmI am guessing this is kind of tongue in cheek for Sherilyn Kenyon–and her publisher probably figured either readers wouldn’t know it was the same person or if they did, they’d just think it was funny. I think it’s funny. :)
by Lori March 2nd, 2006 at 3:05 pmAs to where authors get quotes–it varies. All the Zebra Debut authors got quotes on their first books that Zebra got for us. We had nothing to do with them.
Sometimes an author will ask another author to read the book and give a quote.
It just depends. I’ve heard that the big names sometimes set a number limit they will give in a year so they aren’t completely swamped.

I think it is funny too!!! Thanks for answering my question!
by Jennifer Yates March 2nd, 2006 at 3:07 pmThat’s my ultimate writing goal. To write the blurb for my own book. LOL!
