I can't decide if I am ticked or not. I didn't buy the book so I guess I have no personal buy-in one way or the other. But if I had been as moved by the book as it sounds like a lot of Oprah people were, I think I'd be pretty darn annoyed.

I haven't read the book, but I did hear about what happened. I won't say that it ticks me off, but I do think what he did was wrong. There's artistic license and there's fabrication, and it sounds to me like he engaged in the latter.

On one hand (the moral and ethical one), sure does tick me off. I didn't read the book, but my friends who did said it had little to no redeeming social value--like, the guy never really got 'it'.

On the other hand (the stupid one--and the much smaller and weaker of the two), dang--he sure was smarter than me for a while! Boy got over on Oprah and made a mint he never has to give back! Grrr.
