I know I have been a really bad blogger lately. I was home this week, but have been trying to break my horrible Internet addiction–I am sure no one reading this blog is similarly afflicted. ;-)
Anyway, I finished a proposal (four chapters and a synopsis) and sent them off to my agent yesterday. Yay! Today I went to a booksigning with a group of Wisconsin writers. It was at a campground/resort–not your traditional signing venue, but the kids got to come and play in the pool so a good time was had by all. In case anyone is wondering, I sold 3 books at the whopping price of $3.99. Yes, it was a money losing deal, but I really believe most booksignings are. I am making it a policy to only do them if there is a second draw–or if it is a big event. Anyway, I figure you get out, meet a few people, yada, yada…it was fun.
Now I know you have been wondering about my spam war–I think I may have at least won the skirmish. I’m going to check my reports one more time, and then I will let you know. I will, of course, also fill you in on what worked for me.
Okay, so here I am again with another proposal in–that makes three–and I face the same question. Do I start something else or keep writing on one of these? Actually, I have one other project started so I will probably go back to that–unless I decide to try something else.
Oh, and a new contest has started for my newsletter group. Also, the newsletter should be out this week. Really, it should.
Till later!
Lori

Glad you and the kids at least had fun at the book signing. I’m interested in hearing how you’re fighting the spam war and if it worked. I haven’t had much problem yet, but it never hurts to plan ahead.
by Lynn Daniels July 10th, 2005 at 2:12 pmI’m doing one more check tomorrow to make sure no spam is sneaking through. I’ve had problems with both comment spam and referrer spam. Very frustrating!!
